Life changed instantly for Toby and his family in May 2020 when the then 9 year old Toby collapsed and was non-responsive. He was rushed to the hospital where they learned he had suffered a series of cerebellar strokes. The next several months, even years, Toby worked hard to regain his ability to talk, walk, and write. Though he still has some residual effects from his stroke, he is mostly recovered and living his best life.
Thanks to the most amazing support of The Petersen Automotive Museum and the unwavering dedication of an awesome Mr. Matt Katz, who personally moved heaven and earth to fulfill Toby’s dream this past summer. Alberta Dreams was able to provide Toby with the most spectacular adventure of a family trip to Los Angeles California to not only see a Bugatti Chiron in person but to be able to go for a ride in his dream car.
While in California Toby and his family were able to connect with their extended family, visit Legoland and make some new life long friendships with The Petersen Museum, many of their employees, and Mr. Katz.
