Quin was diagnosed with chronic kidney disease at just 6 years of age. She loves tackle football and since there was no girls league for tackle football, at 12 she joined the boys league where she loved to play defensive back, line back, and receiver. At 14 she under went a kidney transplant but after her transplant Quin could no longer play contact sports.
Now 16, Quin is living her best life as a transplant recipient; she still loves football and enjoys watching the NFL.
Last November Quin and her mom took a trip of a lifetime to Miami Florida to have her dream come true to see the Miami Dolphins play live. They loved the tailgating, the huge stadium and the craziness of an NFL game in person, they even made it on to the jumbotron. While in Miami they also enjoyed Miami beach, drove the 7 Mile Bridge and down to Key West, did some shopping, had a brush with fame, and enjoyed the sunshine and quality girl time they spent together. Quin felt rewarded by this experience, was thankful to have been able to share this with her mom and it was nice to have something good in her life as a result of something so difficult.
