With a huge milestone birthday coming up very soon, this teen will be making the transition from youth to adulthood early in 2023. Their symptoms began at 12 years old and took several years and much persistence to finally figure out they suffer from Hypermobile Ehlers Danlos Syndrome. This syndrome results in frequent joint dislocations, sprains, other injuries, and causes both acute and chronic pain. This young adult is passionate about their community and is active and supports social injustice and human rights causes. They love animals, the oceans, and have always been intrigued by sharks. A life-long dream of theirs has been to see sharks up close. We cannot wait to turn this dream into a reality with a family trip to Monterey Bay, California to visit the Monterey Bay Aquarium and go whale watching.
