We are going VIRTUAL for our 29th Annual Trail Ride.
Please DO NOT show up to ride at Cooking Lake/Blackfoot Provincial Recreation Area on August 16.
Unfortunately, it has come to our attention that trails at Cooking Lake/Blackfoot Provincial Recreation Area are not being maintained by park staff this year. Due to heavy rainfall, storms, and beaver activity, it is recommended NONE of the trails be ridden.
Ultimately, we had to make the hard decision to change this event entirely. Our 29th Annual Trail Ride cannot go on as usual; we’ve decided to CANCEL the in-person part of our Trail Ride. However, we are still encouraging you to fundraise and continue with a virtual ride. Together, but apart. We still need your help and support to make wishes come true. Now, more than ever, every donation is desperately needed. Even though the pandemic has changed the way we run our program, we are STILL granting wishes.
It breaks our hearts that we will not be there with you, so be sure to share photos of your virtual ride with us. We would love to share every moment on our social feeds during the day as well. Plus then we can cheer you on!
We will have door prizes and prizes for riders who raise the most money. We really hope you will continue fundraising in support of The Rainbow Society.

Thanks to the generosity of our “riders” and pledges made, our 2020 Virtual Trail Ride raised $5,095.00 with no expenses.
